Practice Modality

I use a mix of relational, narrative and IFS techniques to explore the stories you tell about yourself and life experience. Though I am not yet fully certified in IFS, I use “parts” work extensively as a helpful framework to explore where feelings and thoughts are coming from and the stories they are telling you, as well as a way to foster compassion for yourself and those “parts.” Through this process, we will identify what values have become important to you along the way, and how to live closer to them.

HOW I MEASURE “PROGRESS”

What I hope for you in our practice together is that you will gain the ability to stretch or flex in response to the pressure and strains of your life, that you will identify those values that are most meaningful to you and acquire the ability to live closely to those values in your actions, thoughts and decision making.

“If we are lucky enough, if we are stubborn enough, we love and we lose and then the loss opens us up to more love- different love, because each love is unrepeatable and irreplaceable-on the other side of grief;love unimaginable from the barren landmass of loss, love without which once found, the world comes to feel unimaginable.”
